Community Doula Scholarship Application

Interested in becoming a Doula? Well, now is the chance. Healthy Start is hosting another Doula training February 8-10.  If you or someone you know is interested, please click the link below to fill out our scholarship application. The application deadline is January 20th.  You must be available to attend all three days of training.  Completion of the application does not guarantee attendance.  Limited seats are available. After scholarship application submission has been completed, applicants will be contacted for an interview.

The training will be hosted by Healthy Start and is presented by Rae Davies

The Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition (IRCHSC) is pleased to be offering community member’s scholarships for training to become a community based Doula, and the opportunity to become a per diem certified Doula for IRCHSC.
What is a Doula: A Doula, also known as a birth companion or post-birth supporter, is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a mother before, during and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible. Birth doulas help support new families through the life changing experience of having a baby!
